Police arrested two youths who were threatening two people – an adult and a youth – with knives on the city’s south side Saturday afternoon.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to the 900-block of Edward Street South just before 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, following reports that a group of youths was brandishing a knife at another youth and an adult male.
Following an investigation, officers located two male suspects and a pair of knives believed to have been used during the reported incident.
A 12-year-old male from Thunder Bay is charged with:
• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
A 13-year-old male from Thunder Bay is charged with:
• Assault with a Weapon
• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Both have since been released from custody with future appearance dates.
