Police seized a replica firearm after spotting and arresting a Wanted Thunder Bay man Friday morning.
A Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit was in the 500-block area of Donald Street East at about 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12 when they observed a male accused who was known to be wanted on an active warrant.
The officer approached the accused and completed the arrested without incident.
The officer learned the male was in possession of a pellet gun, which was concealed at the time of the arrest.
The suspect was transported to the Thunder Bay Police Service headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street.
Scott Randall WALFORD, 26, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
• Carrying Concealed Weapon
• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He appeared in bail court on Saturday, May 13 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
