The Thunder Bay Police Service is releasing two images of witnesses to an assault that took place in the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 8 between Cheer’s the Village Pub and the 1200 block of Francis Street West.
The witnesses in the attached images were in the 1200 block of Francis Street West around 2 a.m. and may have information that could assist investigators.

The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a weekend assault.
Police were originally dispatched to the 1200 block of Francis Street West shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8 following reports a male had been assaulted.
Police spoke to the victim as paramedics attended to his injuries. He was then transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences for further treatment. His injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
The victim left Cheers the Village Pub around 12:30 a.m. and was located in front of a Francis Street West residence around 2 a.m.
Investigators are asking residence who may have surveillance footage between those locations to contact police if they believe they may have captured anything that could assist with this investigation.
Citizens are also encouraged to contact police if they noticed anything suspicious in the areas in question between the hours of 12:30 and 2 a.m. Saturday night into Sunday morning.
