Thunder Bay Police Service officers have arrested a 43 year old woman following a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Balmoral Street and Central Avenue.
Just prior to 8:30am on Friday June 21st, an on-duty Thunder Bay Police officer observed a GMC pickup truck travelling north bound on James Street at a high rate of speed. This vehicle travelled through a red light at the intersection of Redwood Avenue and James Street, nearly colliding with a crossing guard who was within the intersection.
The officer activated their emergency lights and siren in an attempt to stop the vehicle however the driver failed to stop, proceeding north bound on James Street at a high rate of speed.
