A driver involved in a serious two-vehicle collision that occurred earlier this month faces Highway Traffic Act charges.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response branch had been dispatched to the area of Arthur Street and Mountdale Avenue just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision.
A passenger vehicle and motorcycle were involved in the collision. Members of the Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Unit became involved in the investigation.
The two riders of the motorcycle — a male driver and female passenger — both sustained life-altering injuries.
The 22-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle is charged with two counts of careless driving causing bodily harm and being a G1 licence holder unaccompanied by a qualified driver.
