A police standoff in the area of the Lakehead University athletics buildings has concluded.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the 900 block area of Oliver Road just after 5 p.m. on Friday, March 8. A standoff situation ensued. Members of the Emergency Task Unit were involved in the response.
The individual was safely apprehended shortly after 7:30 p.m.
A police presence may remain in the area.
