Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a Toronto man after his body was discovered in Thunder Bay home Sunday.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were originally dispatched to a residential address in the 300 block of Ogden Street at about 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, following reports that a deceased male was located.
Firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and paramedics with Superior North EMS were also dispatched, but later cancelled when the male was located and confirmed deceased.
Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Major Crime and Forensic Identification Units became involved in the ongoing investigation. The investigation is being treated as a homicide.
A post-mortem of the victim took place in Toronto. The scene has since been released.
The identify of the victim is being withheld at this time as police continue to liaison with family.
The investigation remains ongoing.
