Police have charged a 25-year-old man with sexual assault after an overnight incident.
Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to an address on Cumberland Street South shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, after receiving a report of a possible sexual assault.
Responding officers located a female victim who reported being a passenger in a licensed taxicab when she was sexually assaulted by the driver.
The victim was taken to hospital for assessment and treatment.
The investigation led to the identification of the suspect vehicle. The male suspect was located and arrested.
Sehaj SINGH, 25, is charged with Sexual Assault and Assault.
The accused appeared in court on Thursday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
