Sexual Assault arrest
Police have arrested a male in connection to a sexual assault at a McKenzie Street home early Thursday morning.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to an are of Pacific Avenue and Spring Street just after 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 30 to assist a woman who said she had been recently sexually assaulted.
When police arrived, they located the victim. She was then transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment.
Police learned the victim had been out socializing with friends that evening. At some point, the victim and her friend retreated to a residence in the 700-block of McKenzie Street.
She was later assaulted by a male at that address. She fled from the home on foot.
Through their investigation, police identified a suspect. Officers attended the McKenzie Street home, located, and arrested the suspect without incident.
Somtochukwu ORIEGBUNAM, 24, of Nigeria, is charged with:

He appeared in bail court on Friday, March 31 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
