Today we mark the tragic anniversary of the death of Sandra Johnson. On this date, 30-years-ago – February 13, 1992 – her body was discovered on the frozen surface of the Neebing-McIntyre Floodway in the East End of the City of Thunder Bay.
Then-18 years old, Sandra was last seen leaving her home at approximately 1:30 a.m. on that same morning. Investigators with the TBPS’s Major Case Unit continue to investigate information that has come in over the years to try to solve this homicide, bring closure to this matter, and allow the family to finally know the truth about what happened to Sandra.
