Police arrested a male suspected of dealing crack cocaine from a bus shelter on the city’s south side Thursday afternoon.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to a bus shelter in the 100-block area of May Street North just before noon on Thursday, Aug. 24 following reports of ongoing drug trafficking activity there.
When officers arrived, they located a male suspect who appeared to be in the process of concluding a drug transaction.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street.
Officers located and seized a quantity of crack cocaine, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, and cash.
Joel APPOH, 29, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
He appeared in bail court on Friday, Aug. 25 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
