Police are continuing to investigate an early morning weapons incident.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Simpson Street just after 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, after receiving reports of a possible gunshot.
A suspect was located within the residence and taken into custody.
The Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are now involved in the ongoing investigation.
A police presence is likely to remain visible in the area.
Josh SILVA, 35, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Attempted Murder using a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.
SILVA appeared in court on Wednesday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
