A suspect was arrested after assaulting multiple people, including a police officer, while causing a disturbance within a local business.
Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Memorial Avenue at about 11:15 a.m. on Monday, January 20, after receiving reports of an individual assaulting people in the area.
A female suspect had entered a business in that area and assaulted staff and customers, while also damaging equipment within the location.
The suspect also assaulted one of the responding officers when she was being placed under arrest.
None of the victims reported injuries that required medical attention.
Chantal BLACKHAWK, 35, is charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault x4, Assault Peace Officer, Uttering Threats, and Mischief under $5,000.
The accused appeared in court on Tuesday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
