A local resident faces several charges after an investigation into child pornography and child luring.
Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service Cyber Crime Unit began an investigation earlier this year after receiving information that a local internet user was suspected of uploading child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
A search warrant was executed at a local residence earlier this year and several electronic devices were seized for examination.
The investigation found that the accused had been communicating and exchanging sexually explicit material with an underage person in the United States.
The accused turned himself in to police on the morning of Tuesday, December 10.
Cody Mitchell LOCKE, 32, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Luring x2, Making Explicit Material Available to a Child, Indecent Exposure, Making Child Pornography x3, Possession of Child Pornography, and Accessing Child Pornography.
The accused appeared in court on Tuesday and has been released with conditions and a future appearance date.
