Police arrested a man who was found in possession of an imitation firearm after officers responded to a weapons call.
Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the area of the 300 Cumberland Street North on the evening of Sunday, March 30, after receiving reports that a male had been observed in possession of a possible handgun.
Responding officers located a male matching the description of the suspect. The male was found to be in possession of an imitation firearm and two concealed knives.
The male was arrested and taken into custody.
Nelson Richard BROWN, 35, is charged with Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order x2.
The accused appeared in court on Monday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
