An investigation has resulted in a local resident being charged with a child pornography offence.
The Thunder Bay Police Service Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation in March after receiving online tip reports.
The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a residence on Huron Crescent on Thursday, June 6 by members of the Cyber Crime Unit, with assistance from members of the Community Oriented Response and Engagement (CORE) Unit.
The suspect was located and arrested.
Jackson JENNINGS, 23, of Thunder Bay is charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
JENNINGS appeared in court on Thursday and was released with conditions and a future appearance date.
