A search warrant of a south-side residence has resulted in the arrest of three men from southern Ontario, along with the seizure of drugs and a loaded handgun.
Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service Emergency Task Unit, with assistance from the Intelligence Unit and the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, executed a warrant at an address on Frederica Street on Thursday, May 16.
Three male suspects were located and arrested.
A search of the location resulted in the seizure of quantities of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine and fentanyl, along with cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Raheem BISHOP-JACKSON, 22, from Toronto; Ishan KALIA, 19, from Toronto; and Adam ABBABIYA, 26, from Toronto, are charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, along with multiple firearms offences.
BISHOP-JACKSON is also charged with Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order. KALIA and ABBABIYA are also charged with Breach of a Release Order.
The accused appeared in court on Friday, May 17 and have been remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
