Police have arrested a youth suspect in relation to threat incidents targeting a local high school earlier this month.
The Thunder Bay Police Service received reports of threats made against St. Patrick High School on Monday, December 11.
Further threats against the school were received on Wednesday, December 13 and Friday, December 15.
The continued investigation, which involved School Resource officers and members of the Cyber Crime Unit, led to the identification of a suspect, currently living in New Brunswick.
The suspect was arrested by Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers on Saturday, December 23.
The 14-year-old is charged with three counts of mischief, three counts of public mischief, and two counts of uttering threats. The identity of the accused cannot be publicly released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused appeared in court and has been released with conditions and a future appearance date.
