Investigation of Injured Male Now a Homicide Case

An injured male located at the corner of Victoria Avenue and North Street on Thursday April 25 has succumbed to his injuries, and the Thunder Bay Police Service is now treating this case as a homicide.

Paramedics were originally dispatched to the scene at about 4 p.m. on April 25 where a male was reportedly on the sidewalk and in distress.

The male was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where his injuries were being treated.

Police can now confirm the identity of the victim is Andrew Ayre, 52, of Thunder Bay.
