On Monday May 23, 2022, at approximately 1:27 p.m. police responded to a call for assistance in the area of 1400 Balmoral Street.
Cody BULMER, 30, of Thunder Bay was located deceased at the residence.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit have become involved and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Cody’s death. The investigation is being treated as a homicide.
On June 8, 2022 Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR), Primary Response and Major Crime Units located and arrested a second identified suspect.
Daniel BLAIS was taken into custody and transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street on his outstanding warrant without incident.
He is charged with Second-Degree Murder an is expected to appear in bail court on Thursday, June 9.

On Tuesday May 31, 2022 accused male Josh KAKEGAMIC, 44, of Thunder Bay turned himself in at the Thunder Bay Police Service headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street. He was subsequently arrested for Second-Degree Murder.
On Wednesday, June 1, 2022 KAKEGAMIC attended bail court and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
The Thunder Bay Police Major Crimes Unit still has an outstanding arrest warrant for:

BLAIS is still believed to be still in Thunder Bay.
