You just can’t keep a good school down.
On what could have been just another frustrating day for Hammarskjold High School staff and students was instead an afternoon of joy and comradery.
The school hosted a charity basketball game for the Special Olympics 2020 Games’ Draft an Athlete Program on Thursday, April 4.
Boys and girls squads at Hammarskjold joined forces to take on a team that included members of the LU Thunderwolves, Thunder Bay Police and Corrections. Special Olympics Athletes competed against each other during a special half-time game.
It was a great day for a great cause. A big thank you to Hammarskjold staff and students for being such wonderful hosts.
