Police are continuing to investigate after a male had been forcibly confined and assaulted.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Cumberland Street South just after 6:15 p.m. on Monday, April 1.
Responding officers located a male who had been held against his will for multiple days and was the victim of an assault.
The male was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. He has since been treated and released.
The Major Crimes Unit is involved in the investigation.
Multiple suspects have been identified. The investigation remains ongoing, but at this time the incident is suspected to be related to drug trafficking activity.
