Police on Tuesday arrested five people, four of whom were from Montreal or the GTA, amid an investigation into a possible home takeover on the city’s south side.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Community Oriented Response Team learned of a tenant of Limbrick Place in possible distress and possibly the victim of a home takeover. As a result officers were in the area just after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
When officers entered the home they located several unwanted individuals inside. Police also located a quantity of a suspected Schedule 1 substance, a large sum of cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Assistance from officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit led to the seizure of a quantity of suspected crack Cocaine, a quantity of suspected Fentanyl, and a quantity of MDMA pills.
The potential estimated street value of the drugs seized totals $13,640.
Five people were arrested at the scene without further incident.

Chantell HUDSON, 22, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Ralph Wedly PHILEMY, 19, of Montreal, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Guerdy PHILISTIN, 23, of Toronto, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Methylenedioxyamphetamine (AKA Ecstasy)
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Williams-Andrew ULYSSE, 21, of Montreal, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
All five appeared in bail court on Wednesday, Dec. 2 and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
