This fall, the Thunder Bay Police Service will host a series of Chat with the Chief: Policing in our Community public events to share information and hear community input.
“It’s important for me to hear directly from people in the community about how they feel about their police service,” Thunder Bay Police Service Chief Darcy Fleury said. “I’m committed to strengthening trust in our police service, and open dialogue is a key part of that process.”
Also launching this fall is a community engagement initiative called Ask the Chief. In short videos, Chief Fleury will answer common questions to build understanding of the work of the police service.
The Thunder Bay Police Service is launching an online survey to gather community input to help shape the sessions and video content. Participants can select topics that they feel are important to be discussed and provide specific questions.
The survey will be available through the month of August and can be found here: https://forms.office.com/r/2rXSrsPC1k
Questions for Ask the Chief can also be submitted at any time to news@thunderbaypolice.ca
The dates and locations of the Chat with the Chief events will be announced at a later time.
