An accused male was located and arrested within about 45 minutes of police responding to a weekend overnight business break-and-enter.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to a commercial address in the 400 block of Memorial Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, after receiving reports of a possible break-in.
Responding officers found a window had been broken and any suspects had fled the scene.
The officers were able to obtain video footage of the incident that provided a description of a suspect.
At about 3:15 a.m., the officers located a male in the 100 block of Cumberland Street South who matched the description of the suspect. When approached by the officers, the suspect began to run away. The suspect was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. The suspect refused to identify himself to officers.
Henry Joshua Jordan RAE, 30, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Break and Enter, Theft under $5,000, Resisting Arrest, and Obstruct Police.
The accused appeared in court over the weekend and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
