The Thunder Bay Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to the recent robbery attempt of a north-side bakery.
Officers were dispatched to Donato’s Bakery on Court Street South on Thursday, March 14, just before 10 p.m. in response to a reported robbery that had just occurred.
Police learned a male had entered the business and unsuccessfully attempted to get into the cash register. When approached the suspect threatened staff with a weapon before fleeing.
The male suspect was last seen running westbound in the laneway on the south side of Bay Street.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 20s. He stands between 5’10” to 6’ with a very thin build. He wore an all-black outfit at the time of the robbery, which included fitted running pants, hoodie with the hood up, and a balaclava covering his nose and mouth.
