Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Primary Response Unit were originally dispatched to a residential address in the 200 block of May Street North at about 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31 following reports of an assault that had recently taken place.
Paramedics from the Superior North EMS were also dispatched to the scene and were attending to an adult male victim when officers arrived.
Evidence at the scene indicated that a serious assault had taken place.
Paramedics transported the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further evaluation and treatment of his injuries.

As a result, this investigation is now a Homicide.
